On this page, there are some gifs I made as projects in class. Since I’ve done gifs plenty of times before I didn’t find much difficulty other than doing it in a different program. What I enjoyed most about these assignments however is the emotional result I had on it. About two years ago, I used to animate quite a bit and ran my own youtube channel. However, I lost my motivation for it and my identity on the internet has been dormant ever since aside from a DeviantART account. What got me the most excited here is that I actually finished one after so many long months of drained inspiration and artist block.

For our performance project we were to create a 10 second gif with an intro and outro. We were also asked to pull it into a video file and add sound effects and music. I wanted a partial story with mine so I drew a scene of two lions about to engage in a fight however it wouldn’t escalate to the actual fighting portion. My biggest problem here was mainly exporting from photoshop because I wasted an entire period waiting for it to finish rendering a video. Ultimately I gave up and resorted to an online converter to get a video file from it.
