In this assignment we were taught how to create a gradient mesh. A gradient mesh combines multiple gradients to make the image more detailed. I was slightly intimidated when I first heard about gradient meshes, only to realize they weren’t hard to do at all. We simply traced an apple, colored it, and applied the mesh using color from a real image of an apple. This project not only used meshes in it but also combined text and images as I was already familiar with as well as the use of art board which I was familiar with as well. This project was not too difficult it’s the multiple steps in it that made it confusing. The most tedious part for me was the printing since we never had a printer at home I’d no idea how to use one, and it took me a few tries to get it correct.
Project 3: Identity Package
For this project we were to design a logo for a business of our choice. Because I can be indecisive I decided to make multiple for the given example business TD associates, an architect company. Most of the designs were tedious, the blueprint lines on the letters was difficult because the shape builder tool for some reason would not cut the lines as neatly as I thought it could. That was probably the most tedious part aside from getting the correct gradients. Overall I am pretty proud of the designs I came up with even though I say I am indecisive I often struggle with figuring out if creativity is something I have, and this project helped me find the answer to that.
