For our final project we were to create a magazine cover while given specific requirements such as a given amount of layers. We were aloud to choose our topic so I choose felines specifically wild ones. I found a picture of a caracal online and cut it out using the refine edge tool and quick selection tool. I then copied and pasted the caracal on top of the one behind it to look like it was in front the logo. The logo has a few layer styles such as bevel and emboss. I also applied a layer mask on it. I used the healing spot brush to copy the caracal’s fur and paste it behind the savannah grass graphic near the bottom. I played around with the shapes and put a lioness and her cub there then selected the circle behind it, inversed the selection it, and erased the lioness’s back to make it look like she’s poking out of it. There is also a small gradient within the circle. Layers styles have also been applied to the the large text and the brown rectangular boxes.
